Why We Start Startups

A startup is a crucible. Designed to burn hot. And like a moth to the flame, some of us are compelled to start them, join them, and sacrifice for them.

Within the crucible we are refined, transformed.

It’s through the relentless trials of a startup that we have an opportunity to become more of who we really are.

In a startup, you’ll face challenges like never before. Be asked to have some of the hardest conversations of your life.

By the end, the old you that entered the startup is no more. There is a new you, that’s changed, grown, probably suffered, but better off for all of it.

No one starts or joins a startup to “survive.”

You do it to push yourself. To see what you’re capable of. To become a better version of you. To be reborn.
