Choosing to Live Differently

Forget safety.
Live where you fear to live.
Destroy your reputation.
Be notorious.
— Jalaluddin Rumi

I told myself that I should stay at my startup. I couldn't.

I told myself that I should get a job, to make good money. To meet new people. To try new things. To recharge. I couldn't.

I told myself that I needed to start and quickly grow a new business. To get an office. To market myself. But I didn't really want to.

Trying to define myself by my career has been the story of my life. I'm tired of that story.

I don't want to "work." I want to live.

I want to be me, not some entrepreneur-y version of me that I choose to present to the world.

So hello there, I'm Todd.
